This customer had an aging Stout-built concrete grain elevator with original steel hoppers below the silos. After many years of hard use, the original hoppers and rack-and-pinion gates required complete replacement. Without original design drawings to work from, ESI's steel fabrication shop custom designed and built replacements using the worn-out original hoppers as their templates. ESI's millwright crew re-installed the hoppers which aligned perfectly and bolted back into place with no problems.
