ESI considers repeat business to be the ultimate complement and indicative of our relationship with our customers. For this operation, ESI has been involved in numerous upgrades from material handling to storage to a new 80,000 BPH rail loadout system.
ESI positioned this Compuweigh 40,000 BPH bulkweigher scale between a truck driveway and a railroad track. Phase I of the project included the scale and its side-load rail spout. A future phase II will include a diverter valve below the scale's discharge and a separate side-load truck spout.
This grain operation handles high volumes of grain and multiple commodities. To accommodate both requirements, ESI designed and installed a 12' x 24' grain receiving pit with an oversized hopper that holds approximately 1,000 bushels of grain. With the large grate and hopper a truck can dump its entire load into the pit without running the receiving conveyor. This allows the grain elevator to switch between commodities without holding up the truck line.
Another critical requirement was the need for dust collection. This projects includes baffles below the pit grate and a Donaldson dust filter with dust pickups mounted to the hopper's sidewall. To prevent grain from being pulled into the dust pickups, ESI installed perforated deflector plates covering the dust openings.
The entire receiving pit is covered with a Golden Giant building and includes an attached separate control room.
ESI has been designing, fabricating and installing commercial bridges, catwalks and towers for over 40 years. Working from detailed in-house specifications tailored to our customers' specific needs, ESI's metal fabricators are a critical component in our turnkey process.
Accurately monitoring grain temperature is mission-critical for every grain and feed operation. This 105' diameter storage bin holds 750,000 bushels in a single location and is monitored by a Rolfes@Boone wireless temperature system.
